Avila Barn
The Avila Barn is nestled near the Avila Hot Springs on Avila Beach Drive. It's part farmers market with fresh produce and baked goods. Locals often stop by the barn to pick up a berry pie. Folks from out of town, drop by with the kids to see the farm animals. From goats to peacocks, the kids can get up close to pet and feed the animals.
The petting zoo is by far the biggest hit with the kids. Pick up some of the fresh greens from the barn and have the kids go around to each stall and feed the animals. They'll love it!

In the large main building, they have the fresh baked goods and produce. The pies and coffee cake are big hits.
In the side building there is an ice cream parlor and candy shop. They also serve sandwiches that can be eaten on the picnic tables outside.
In the ice cream parlor there is homemade fudge that is absolutely delicious!

Have a Picnic at The Avila Barn
Bring a sac lunch or pick up sandwiches inside the ice cream parlor and then eat them over looking a field. On a hot day, sit under the umbrellas or under the patio that's been covered in grape vines.

Local Tip
The Bob Jones trail starts at Ontario road (just up the street from the Avila Barn) and ends in Avila Beach. Ride bikes from the barn to the beach on trail that is free from cars. Our four year old daughter was easily able to peddle herself all the way. This makes a great family activity.
Directions to the Avila Barn
The Avila Barn is part farmers market, part candy and ice cream, and part petting zoo. It's a place where the family can spend a few hours.
