How Much Do German Shepherds Shed?
German Shepherds have long hair that sheds
German Shepherds are great family dogs
We have a German Shepherd named Magnolia, but we call her Maggie. She's great with kids, so-so with other dogs (fine if she's off leash, but she'll let you know it if another dog is too close to the strollar), and she sheds a ton.
German shepherds have long hair and blow their coat out a few times a year and shed heavily all year round. If you keep your german shepherd in the house, you'll need to vacuum at least every other day. If you don't, you'll find the dog hair on every thing that it can possibly stick to and large clumps of hair will form in the corners of the rooms.
We love our dog, but she sheds so much! To deal with the hair, a german shepherd needs to be brushed just about daily. While we aren't that diligent, so when we don't brush her, we pay the price with having her hair go everywhere.
