How I Use The Law of Attraction

By

I read the Law of Attraction a year or two ago. The first chapter about the woman channeling the voice of Abraham almost killed it for me, but I finished it. At the end I thought, wow, here's a book putting into words many of my personal beliefs. It was very reinforcing.

However, I wasn't fully aware of how powerful the Law of Attraction was for me, until I realized everything I wrote down as a goal on the backgroung of my computer screen was coming true and quickly.

I believe it works because these desires are always present in my subconsious and I reinforce them daily. They then become the things I think about, the things I dream about, and a frequent topic of conversation. Lots of energy goes into them and then they are created. Call it focus, persistence or the Law of Attraction, they are all part of the same energy force.

On my computer background screen I list personal goals of what I want to achieve. I chose to put it on my computer because I spend so much time on my computer and this is a great way to be reminded of my goals. However, the most interesting thing is everything I write down on it comes true now. Some of them take longer than others to be realized, and occassionally I'll decide that one is something I nolonger want, so I remove it from the list, but everything on the list that stays there comes true.

Things I've had on the list about HubPages

  • Find cofounders
  • Raise $2 Million from investors

Right now I have five things on my list, plus two daily reminders, and a list of six things about the culture we want to create at HubPages. I'm confident that all of these will be realized.

Try it out, make a list of goals and put it on your computer desktop as a background image and see if the Law of Attraction will work for you. I'd say it took me nearly a year from the time I started to realize the full power of it.

When I've gone back and re-read notebooks and journals where I've made wishlists and written down goals, I've noticed the majority of them have come true, from learning to drive (at 40), to getting an i-book, to marrying the man of my dreams (at 50!). Thank you for the reminder! Time to reach the next level.

Have seen “The Secret” 3 times and am awed by it. The Law of Attraction (LOA) is now my guiding force providing new directions in my life. Thinking positively all the time, I am able to focus and concentrate on achieving what I have visualized. After visualization, I worked out a plan to implement what I have visualized. This procedure has worked wonders for me. The LOA is working for me. In the book titled "Attraction Acceleration Report" by Bob Procter and Stephen Pierce, Bob Procter said that "most people don’t go after what they want, they go after what they think they can get". In this report, Bob Procter expounded his thought-provoking views on the Laws of Attraction. Bob Procter also gives an interesting perspective on the 3M methods of making money - M1, M2 and M3. He further commented on other aspects - attitude, rendering of service and how to generate wealth. Maybe, some of us may be able to relate to his views.  I found this report interesting, useful and enlightening. I have learned a lot from this report. To those friends who are staunch believers of the Law of Attraction, you may wish to read this book in order to gain another  perspective on the Law of Attraction. I’m so glad that I have found your post. I have been unsure of this topic for some time and you have enabled me to understand it a whole lot better. I really appreciate it. I was reading a post a while ago that helped me in the same way that yours has.

Working with goals is extremely effective. It's really easy to get 'scattered' with the demands of life and goals help create some focus.

I loved your comment about how reading that the information was being channeled almost drove you away. My husband has had that same issue and honestly I think it does 'scare' some people. But, as you did, if you forget where the information is coming from and just listen to the message, you may find that it resonates with what you believe yourself. If it doesn't, then move on to something that does. That's exactly how I felt when I first discovered the Abraham-Hicks material. It was different than anything I had heard before, yet it was so very much in tune with what I felt inside.

I first learned about the power of writing down your goals just a few years out of high school. In our high school senior year memory book there was a page reserved for writing your goals for the future. At the time I put down four or five things. A few years later I stumbled on this book when cleaning out a closet and stopped to read it. I still remember the feeling I had when I realized that I had accomplished every single goal I had written down. It was very inspiring.

I regularly keep a written list of goals and periodically look at it and relive that giddy feeling as once again I get to mark off a lot of them.

Once you 'get it', there is no turning back. :)

(and I just revived your hub since I noticed the last post before this one was 9 months ago!)

Yeah, everytime I tell people about the Law of Attraction book, i preface it with a comment about - Just get through Abraham, it's a little strange.

As an update to this. I'm still writing my goals on my computer background image. As far as goal setting goes, I think I'm creating more goals that are stretching me as a person and a few more goals that are more like daily reminders like read to my children every night.

Here's to a successful 2009.

I have the written list and then I have 31 vision boards in my computer room. These 31 vision boards are actually two-sided with only one side visible at one time. I orginally planned on a scrapbook of sorts....some day I may bind it. I have probably another 5-10 boards in the making.

Yes, here's definately to a successful 2009!

Thank you for this article. And yes, when I think of it,I too have written wishlists and goal lists only to go back to realize they've come true. I guess now I should step it up!

We should never forget the law and be grateful for what has manifested.

Lovely hub of positivity and success :)
